Accessing the Healthcare You Need at a Price You Can Afford

Paying your provider directly for in person or virtual visits saves money and time

Remember when most people could refer to their healthcare provider as “My Doctor”?  It seems that unless you are very young or very old, most of us rarely see the same provider on a regular basis.  In the current Healthcare market, patients and clients seeking a provider need to be diligent in researching who they chose to trust to care for their body and mind.

A provider that has the luxury of spending quality time with their patients and/or clients is a rare find anymore.  Most are booked out weeks and months in advance and are burdened with hours of time every day fulfilling the required electronic medical record documentations.  Burnout is high among healthcare providers, so it’s no wonder we are seeing a mass exodus from medicine and there is a worldwide shortage of medical providers.

More and more healthcare providers are seeking alternative ways to care for their patients and clients that allow them to spend more time doing what they went to school for in the first place, caring for and healing people.  We are seeing healthcare go “Back to the Future” in a sense that many providers are establishing smaller direct pay clinics like what used to be the norm a couple decades ago.

Paying for your healthcare directly means you pay as you go, just like most any other expense we all incur.  You wouldn’t dream of eating at a fine restaurant or filling your gas tank, then flipping out a card that requires the owner to hire a team of employees to bill 3rd party companies, that may or may not pay the entire bill, based on rules and regulations, and dependent on what code the biller choses for the goods and services you already received.  This seems ridiculous when you think about it.

Direct pay healthcare cuts out most of the administrative billing regulations and costs for providers, allowing them to charge a reasonable fee for their time and talent, and giving them the liberty to treat their patients and clients as they see best.  What a concept.

The American Association of Patients and Providers program SimpleCare is a longstanding organization that educates providers how to offer and implement a direct pay system into their practices at very little upfront cost to them.  SimpleCare patient/client members have access to affordable healthcare by choosing from the network of SimpleCare providers in their community.  We are working hard to rebuild our nationwide network with your help.

Pay in full at the time of service for the issues you can afford to do so, have a catastrophic healthcare insurance plan with an HAS, or join a health share organization for the stuff you cant afford to pay in full for, and save a lot of money in the long run.
